Resilience

Our mission at Our Tribe Our VIllage is grounded in the foundations of community. Our genuine desire to create a harmonious community that works together towards compassionate care and support of those around us. We have reached out on several instances to provide food on the holidays, care packages for the weary warriors of COVID-19, and complimentary services to those otherwise isolated with their diagnosis.

Since March 2020, resilience has become a word that has been thrown around often. A topic that continues to be relevant, whether it’s dealing with the stressors of COVID-19, the death of a family member, or the birth of a newborn baby. All of them, both positive and negative, become accumulations of stress resulting in our human-derived resilience.

Sometimes we rise to the challenge with the grit of Heroes from ages past, and at other moments we feel the genuine weight of our grief or struggles. It is in these moments that we choose how to react. Is it with the grace and dignity of Queen or the wrath and rage of a dragon at our lot in fates wheel?

Neither is wrong.

It is in that selection of our emotions that we inherit from our cumulative life experiences. Take the time to process. Give the moment it’s due, then reach out for help, whether it be an old friend, a coworker, or a significant other. You would be surprised at the generosity of strangers too. Humanity has manifested itself to be creatures of community, love, and generosity.

There are stories released every day about communities rallying around a person or individual. That is what our tribe our village strives to do. Listen to our community and help locate, encourage, provide access, and offer support to those in need. We are here for our community.
